Primula zhexiensis Xiao He & J.W.Shao

Section Ranunculoides
Type specimen: Jian-Wen Shao & Wei Zhang 160326-1 resides at Anhui Normal University, Wuhu, Anhui, China (ANUB)., (holotype ANUB002356, isotypes ANUB002357, ANUB002359).

Epithet: Named for place Zhe (Zhejiang) Xi (West).
Distribution: Zhejiang, China.

A species found growing on wet rock walls and shady slopes at roadsides or forest edges in the NW corner of Fuyang city and the south area of Lin'an District in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is a dwarf, glabrous biennial with pinnate compound leaves. The flowers are white or pale pink with obovate lobes, apex rounded and long homostylou,s borne in a single umbel. Part of a complex centered on P. merrilliana and genetically close to P. wannanensis.
