Distribution: Thailand.

Considered by Halda to be a subspecies of P. obconica and related by Hu with P. wangii and P. kwangtungensis. This species differs from P. obconica in having small, white, monomorphic flowers, a short corolla tube (1.3X the calyx) and triangular calyx-lobes. The capsule is calyptrate which distinguishes it from species in section Obconicolisteri. C.M.Hu inadvertently redescribed this species under the name P. larsenii. Known from Doi Inthanon near Chiangmai. If you have an image of this species, please contact the webmaster.
