Reference Paper: Koontz, A., Pearse, W.D., Wolk, P. Pronounced Genetic Separation Among Varieties of the Primula cusickiana Species Complex, a Great Basin Endemic

Epithet: Named for the collector Cusick.
Distribution: Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, USA.

Several species have been lumped under P. cusickiana (P. nevadensis, P. domensis, P. maguirei) but recent studies show that the original classification for these at the species level should be reinstated (see Reference paper). Similar to P. maguirei in that this species is glabrous, except for white farina on the bracts and calyces. Corolla tube length is 1-1.5 X the calyx. This species is split into three distinct genomic clusters: Jarbridge (Nevada), Owyhee (Orgeon) and Snake River Plains (Idaho) and further study may result in distinct naming for these.
