Primula zhengyii B.Yang bis & Y.H.Tan

Section Obconicolisteri
Type specimen: B. Yang, Y. Song & K. J. Li T0471 resides at HITBC (specimen 0037946) (holotype) and HITBC (specimens 0037943, 0037944, 0037945) (isotypes).

Epithet: Named for Prof. Zheng-Yi Wu from Kunming Institute of Botany.
Distribution: Yunnan, China.

Similar to P. zhui but differing by its shorter corolla tube and smaller corolla size, and to P. intanoensis but differing by its distylous pink flowers, smaller calyx, larger corolla size and longer style of thrum and pin flowers. The phylogenetic position of this species does not fall within section Obconicolisteri, but is currently placed there because of morphological evidence.
