A little known species, originally compared to P. kwangtungensis from Guangdong (Kwangtung) province, but distinguished by the longer petiole, the cordate leaf base, the calyx parted close to the middle, and the capsule longer than the persistent calyx. Leaves have long petioles, as long as the leaf blade, covered in rusty hairs, leaf blade broadly oblong to suborbicular, papery texture, upper surface glabrous or sparsely pubescent, rust colored hairs along veins below, base cordate or subrounded, scapes covered in rusty hairs with a solitary umbel of 3-5 rose colored flowers. Calyx campanulate, sparsely pubescent, split to the middle into lanceolate lobes with one prominent midvein. Capsule calyptrate, cylindrical and slightly longer than the calyx. Known from Guangnan Xian, Yanzidong, Yunnan and Fengshan, Yunfengdong, Guangxi.
