Primula medogensis W.B.Ju, Bo Xu & X.F.Gao

Type specimen: W.B. Ju & X. Li YLZB07293 resides at CDBI (holotype) and KUN, PE (isotypes).

Epithet: Named for the type locality, county Motuo (Medog), Xizang.
Distribution: Tibet (Xizang), China.

Described as being similar to P. baileyana and P. rotundifolia, but differing in having roots covered with grayish hairs, straight petiole remaining from the previous year, leaf blade reniform and revolute at the margin, petiole more than 3x the length of the leaf blade, scape equal or shorter than the leaves, flowers solitary, capsule shorter than the calyx. Grows in the cracks of steep wet cliffs covered with moss of 3550-3700m elevation and is only known from the type locality of Duoxiongla (Doshong La).
