Primula kwangtungensis W.W.Sm.

Type specimen: S. P. Ko 53981 resides at E (specimen E00024606) and IBK (specimen 00028572) and LBG (specimen 00118115).

Epithet: Named for the old name for Guangdong (Kwangtung).
Distribution: Guangdong, Hunan, China.

An efarinose, hairy species with leaves 5-11.5cm long, broadly obovate to elliptic, rounded or slightly emarginate at the apex, broadly cuneate or rounded at the base, margin entire to irregularly denticulate, upper surface pubescent on midvein becoming glabrous, lower surface covered with reddish hairs on on veins, petiole shorter than blade (0.5-3cm). Scapes 3-12cm, reddish hairy 1-2 whorls of 3-9 rose or purplish-blue flowers on reddish hairy pedicels.
