This species has informally been known as "Chinese bellidifolia" and may prove to be new. All known locations for it are in Sichuan. The main characteristics are oval, petiolate, scalloped leaves, heavily farinose beneath, glabrous farinose stem, subcapitate inflorescence, rather large farinose infundibular flowers of a pale lilac-blue.
