Primula zhui Y.H.Tan & B.Yang

Type specimen: B.Yang & H.B.Ding 0001 resides at HITBC (specimen HITBC0030054 (holotype), HITBC0030055).

Epithet: Named for Professor Zhu Hua.
Distribution: SW Yunnan, China.

This species is provisionally assigned to Section Carolinella though the capsule has not been seen. It is closest to P. intanoensis, from Thailand and P. calyptrata, from SE Yunnan. P. zhui differs from P. intanoensis by the longer corolla tube and distylous flowers. It differs from P. calyptrata by the ovate to ovate-elliptic leaf blade and the distylous flowers. This species is efarinose to 20cm. Leaves ovate to ovate-elliptic with a distinct, pilose petiole, a rounded apex, cordate base and slightly undulate or irregulary crenulate margin, sparsely pubescent above, and pubescent below and pilose along the veins. Scape to 15cm, pubescent, with an umbel of 8-15 distylous, exannulate, white to pink flowers, with a long tube to 2.5 times the calyx.
