P. walshii is an efarinose, tiny Primula (less than 3 cm in fruit) with short hairs covering the leaves and calyx. Easily mistaken for P. concinna which is farinose and glabrous or P. pumilio which is efarinose and glabrous. Careful observation in the field and good closeup images of the calyx and both sides of the leaves are required for identification. It is widely distributed but is easily overlooked due to its size.
