Distribution: Pamir and Altai Mountains, S Kyrgyzstan and Tadzhikstan.
This species was known as P. lactiflora Turkevicz but it has been determined that the name was previously used (nom illeg.). It is very similar to P. kaufmanniana but is distinguished by its white flowers with a narrow purple tube.
