Primula tsaiana G.Hao & Y.Xu

Type specimen: Y. Xu et al. 210546 resides at IBSC (holotype) and P.S. Li 210643 at IBSC (paratype).

Epithet: Named for Prof. Cai Xitao (Tsai Hse-tao)..
Distribution: Huanglishan National Natural Reserve, Yunnan.

Compared with P. wenshanensis and P. petelotii in the original description, but having a robust rhizome, a shorter calyx of 4-6 mm, parted to the middle, leaves with lateral veins ca. 45 degrees to the midvein and the corolla 2-lobed, each lobe denticulate to lacerate with 5-7 teeth. Only known from the type location of Luchun Xian in Yunnan.
