Related to P. agleniana and sometimes thought to be a colour variant of that species, P. thearosa can be distinguished by being dwarfer, with fewer flowers and a deep pink corolla. The last three images may represent hybrids between P. agleniana var. atrocrocea and P. thearosa. P. thearosa is usually found at a higher elevation than P. agleniana var. atrocrocea. See related: P. agleniana, P. elizabethae, P. falcifolia, P. obliqua.
