P. takedana f. roseum : A pink variant.

Epithet: Named for Professor Takeda, an authority on Japanese Primulas.
Distribution: Hokkaido, Japan

This species has a restricted range. It grows in serpentine soils in the Teshio area of Hokkaido, Japan. Differs from P. jesoana by the slender habit and flower color. Flowers are exannulate, campanulate and usually white. A pink form is known as P. takedana f. roseum and if you have a reference for this name or image, please contact the webmaster.
