Type specimen: Delavay 109 resides at Paris (specimen P04908428 ,P04908429 ,P04908433) and KEW (specimen K000750110).

P. balfourii (syn): Leveille, Cat. Pl. Yun-nan, 212. 1916. nom. nud.
P. delicata (syn): Forrest, Notes Roy. Bot. Gard. Edinburgh. 4: 222. 1908. Type specimen: Forrest 1804 resides at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (specimen E00024355, E00024356 ) and KEW (specimen K000750109).
P. delicatula (in syn): Dunn ex Leveille, Cat. Pl. Yun-nan, 213. 1916.

Epithet: Named for the spicate inflorescence.
Distribution: W Yunnan.

Similar to P. siamensis but with a more pronounced crenate-dentate leaf margin and emarginate corolla lobes. Found growing on stoney meadows and cliff ledges.
