Type specimen: Z. P. Soong 38546, 38586 resides at South China Botanical Garden and Northwestern Institute of Botany, Yangling, Shaanxi (specimen WUK 0175412).
Distribution: Sichuan, China
Similar to both P. orbicularis, but efarinose, and P. szechuanica, but with almost patent lobes and a longer calyx.
