Type specimen: Siyu Zhang & Yang Hu ZSY-zbcz013 resides at ANUB (specimen 100111)(holotype), ANUB (specimens 100112, 10113, 10114), CSH (specimen 0219763) and NAS (specimen 00718036).

Epithet: Named for the Romanized Pinyin of the Chinese name, meaning having hair all over the plants.
Distribution: Sichuan, China.

Similar to P. xingshanensis but distinguished by leaf base cordate with auriculate lobes, leaf lobes with sparse rounded teeth, and flowers lacking nectar guides and with indistinct light yellow or purple eye. Grows in crevices of limestone cliffs along a river valley. Only found in an area of less than 10km² near Fangshi Town, Qingchuan County, Sichuan.
