Type specimen: R. Strachey & J. E. Winterbottom Primula 13 resides at K (specimen K000750284) and CAL (specimens CAL0000017343, CAL0000017344) and GH (specimen 00073586) and P (specimen P04544726).

Distribution: NW HImalaya from N Pakistan, NW India to W and C Nepal.

P. reptans is a tiny, efarinose, creeping species forming loose mats in mossy areas on rocks. Leaves are rounded and incised with lobes which can be recurved. Flowers are very large for the size of the plant and have a few hairs in the mouth of the tube. Can be confused in the wild with P. minutissima but is distinguished by the leaves and the lack of farina. Similar to P. triloba but with mulitple lobes on the leaf margin.
