Primula pumila (Ledebour) Pax (Section Crystallophlomis)

Formerly named P. eximia, this arctic species is found in Alaska, Yukon, Northwest Territories and far Eastern Russia. Flowers are bright red-purple, homostylous and plant is farinose (may wash off older plants). Compare with the closely related species, P. tschuktschorum .
