Distinguished by the purple-blue (rarely white) flowers with a pompom of hairs in the throat. Leaves oblanceolate, minutely scabrid above and pinnatifidly toothed at the margin. P. pusilla var. flabellata is a synonym for P. occlusa, not P. primulina. Compare with related P. bella. Doubtfully recorded from Pakistan (Baltoro & Mustagh glaciers, Karakorams).
