Type specimen: Delavay 9 resides at Paris (specimen P04544591).
Epithet: Named for its pinnatifid leaves.
Distribution: Yunnan, Sichuan, China
Authorities disagree on the range of variability for this species and thus consider different synonyms part of the species. Until I have investigated this further, I am displaying only the classic form which Delavay collected first collected near the glacier at Lijiang, Yunnan.
