Epithet: Named for Pengzhou, the name of the city in central Sichuan, China, where the type was collected.
Distribution: China.
A species only known from a small area in Pengzhou that grows in shade and moist cliffs in thin forest. It blooms in March and April. It is escapeous and resembles P. membranifolia, a scapeous species, in the long corolla tube, but also differs in having one bract.
