Primula pellucida was originally collected at Tchen-fon-chan, NE Yunnan. It is efarinose, with a slender habit, thin textured leaves with scattered articulate hairs and a calyx with lobes ovate-lanceolate with a recurved subulate apex. Leaves are ovate to oblong, rounded at the apex, more of less cordate at the base and margin crenate-dentate with teeth obtuse or acute and sometimes toothed again. Flowers are rose-pink, heteromorphic and emarginate.
