Section Auganthus
Type specimen: Zhikun Wu ZKWU 2026010 resides at KUN (holotype) and CSH (isotype).

Epithet: Named for the location in N Sichuan where the type specimen was collected.
Distribution: N Sichuan, China.

This species is distinguished in sect. Auganthus by it short rhizome and nearly fleshy roots; subpurple petioles and scapes; leaf blade suborbicular, wider than long, margin palmately 5-9 lobed to the middle of the blade; bright yellow corolla. It has the distinctive broad and flat-bottom calyx characteristic of section Auganthus. Grows on shady ledges of conglomerate cliffs at elevations between 800-1050m. Only known from the type locality in Maershan Scenic Area.
