Primula luquanensis is similar to P. nutantiflora but differs by having stolons, a small habit and a solitary bract and flower. A dwarf species to 6cm, leaves farinose below, sparsely above, obovate, apex obtuse or rounded, margin sharply dentate in the upper half, base attenuate into a membranously winged petiole indistinct or distinct. Corolla violet, pendent, open campanulate, lobes deeply bifid, monomorphic with stamens set close to the base and style well exserted. Only known from the type area.
