This species is known from S Guizhou, but possibly collected in N Guangxi. This is a little known species and I have not seen any herbarium specimens of it. In the original description, it is compared with P. kweichouensis but differing in the glabrous calyx and pedicels and by being pubescent on both surfaces of the leaves. An efarinose species, shallow rooted, leaves oblong to broadly ovate, 1.5-3.5cm long, pilose above and below, apex rounded, base cordate (rarely subrounded) and with a densely pilose petiole 2-5cm (longer than blade). Scapes 2.5-5.5cm sparsely pilose with 2-6 rose flowers. Calyx campanulate, gladular, parted to middle, lobes narrow-triangular, margin hydathode-apiculate. Capsule operculate.
