Primula kitaibeliana Schott

Epithet: Named for Pál Kitaibel, a Hungarian botanist.
Distribution: Western Balkans (Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina).

A species closely related to P. integrifolia but a larger plant, strongly smelling and with a longer peduncle. It is efarinose. The leaves are obovate, erect, with a slightly toothed margin and covered in glandular hairs. Flowers dark pink, usually with a star shaped white eye. Often occurs in moist grassy pockets on cool limestone cliffs.
