Primula forrestii (Section Bullatae)

P. forrestii is found in N and W Yunnan in dry habitats. It is subshrubby forming woody rhizomes. Usually the flowers are a deep yellow, but variations that are cream are deemed var redolens (previously P. redolens). The related species, P. bullata, is very similar but smaller.
