P. obovata / Androsace obovata (syn): Wall. ex Duby in , DC., Prodr. 8:35. 1844. Type specimen: Wallich 610 resides at PH (specimen 22091) and at E (specimen E00009204) and M (specimen M0173569).

Distribution: N.W. Himalaya through Nepal, Afghanistan
An articulate hairy, efarinous plant with yellow flowers in 1-6 umbels. Usually many scapes per plant. This species has a wide distribution from NW Himalaya to SW Nepal and into Afghanistan at lower elevations of 500-2000m growing on limestone outcrops.
