Type specimen: Kingdon-Ward 7020 resides at KEW (holotype specimen K000750436) and Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (specimens E00024737, E00024738) and British Museum (specimen BM000996884).

Epithet: Named for ?
Distribution: Myanmar (Burma).

P. fea is endemic to Seinghku Wang, NW Myanmar (Burma) and was found only by Kingdon-Ward there in 1926 growing in moss in crevices of south facing granite cliffs and in scree and turf slopes. It is close to P. sapphirina but distinguished by the larger blue-mauve corolla ( to 1cm) with subentire lobes and by leaves with articulated hairs.
