Type specimen: Kingdon Ward 279 resides at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (specimens E00024154, E00284728).

Epithet: Named for the cluster of solitary pedicels.
Distribution: Gansu, Qinghai, Sichuan, Yunnan, China.

A tiny efarinose species, leaves fleshy, glabrous, at most 15mm x 7mm, oblong to elliptic, rounded at the apex, rounded to broadly cuneate at the base, margin entire with a narrowly winged petiole. Scape either absent or at most 2.5cm so flowers are solitary or 1-6 on a scape. Bracts linear 8-10mm. Flowers rose to bright pink, (rarely white), with a yellow eye. Described from plants collected near Zhongdian, Yunnan. According to the Flora of China this species is not found in Tibet. See related species P. tibetica and P. nutans.
