A yellow flowered species from the Doshong La, Tibet. It is distinguished by the open faced flower, and the efarinose, linear-lanceolate leaves. The variant P. falcifolia var. farinifera is yellow farinose providing a link to other members of this subsection. As this species grows in very wet conditions, it would be interesting to survey the type population for evidence of farina. See related: P. agleniana, P. elizabethae, P. thearosa, P. obliqua.
