Type specimen: Fedorov s.n. 19 August 1945 resides at LE (holotype).

Epithet: Named for ?
Distribution: Kyrgyzstan

P. eugeniae is unusual within the Section because of its yellow flowers. Distributed in the Ferghana and Chatkal mountain ranges of Kyrgyzstan. This species favours crevices of marble rocks in the high alpine. See also the closely related P. pskemensis.
