Type specimen: Cult from Edelberg 403 resides at JE?.

P. floribunda Wall. subsp. occidentalis (syn): Wendelbo, Biol. Skr. 10(3):66. 1958.(PDF). Type specimen: Edelberg 403 resides at C (specimen C10017493) and M (specimen M0173571) .

Epithet: Named for L. Edelberg.
Distribution: E. Afghanistan.

Known from Eastern Afghanistan, this species is distuinguished by being covered with sticky, glandular hairs. Leaves ovate with a cuneate base, finely serrate margin and long petiole. Flowers yellow, with a long tube in 1-3 whorls.
