Type specimen: Ludlow, Sherriff & Elliot 13749 (15341) resides at British Museum (specimen BM000996907) and Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (specimen E00024509) and National Museum of Nature and Science, Tsukuba, Japan (specimens 107000, 107017) and Swedish Museum of Natural History (specimens S09-46702, S09-46703).

Epithet: Named for ?
Distribution: SE Tibet (Xizang).

Found only on the Sobhe La, Tibet near Tongyub (Tongkyuk) Dzong. Said to grow abundantly on rock faces at 12,500ft. This is a small species 1-2cm tall, with leaves obovate to oblanceolate or spathulate, narrowly winged, rounded apex with a denticulate margin in the upper half. Cream or yellow farina abundant on the lower surface of the leaves. 1-2 scapes per plant, 1cm high and have 2-4 violet flowers with a white eye.
