Type specimen: Kingdon-Ward 6093, 5985 resides at E (specimen E00024695) and K (specimen K000750215).

Aleuritia baileyana (Kingdon-Ward) Soják

Epithet: Named for Frederick Marshman Bailey.
Distribution: SE Tibet (Xizang), China.

Very similar to P. littledalei and P. rotundifolia but growing only in SE Tibet. This species has orbicular leaves with a distinct, long petiole, truncate to slightly cordate base and thick white farina underneath. The leaves have a wrinkled texture. Corollas are pale violet to violet with a pale white or yellow eye and emarginate. Differs from P. rotundifolia by being more slender, with smaller leaves and notched flowers. Differs from P. littledalei in the distinct petiole and notched flowers.
