Primula arunachalensis S.K.Basak & Maiti, Acta Phytotax. Geobot. 51(1): 11 2000.

Type specimen: S. Das 3805 resides at Calcutta.

Epithet: Named for the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
Distribution: West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh, India.

This species is related to P. lacerata but homostylous and yellow flowered. Only collected from the type location which is "2 km above Sangrila on the way to the Sela Pass, alt. 4300m", however the Sela is at 4,170m so the altitude is in doubt.
