Type specimen: Kingdon-Ward 511 resides at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (specimen E00024190)

P. annulata is endemic to NW Yunnan and was first collected in 1913 on a limestone peak near Deqin. It may not have been seen since. It is a small species, to 3.5 cm, with violet flowers, usually 1 per stem. Grows in mossy loose soils. If you have an image of this species, please contact the webmaster.
