Type specimen: Ludlow, Sherriff, & Taylor 5423 resides at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (specimen E00024761, E00024760) and British Museum (BM000039473)

P. aliciae is known from Mainling Shan on the slopes of Namcha Barwa in SE Tibet. Seems to have been collected only once. Leaves have irregularly dentate margins with yellow farina on the underside, and flowers of lavender to dark blue with a white farinose eye.
