Primula afghanica Wendelbo, Biol. Skr. 10:63. 1958.

Section Sphondylia
Type specimen: Edelberg 440 resides at Copenhagen.

Known only from collections made in 1948 in Nuristan, Afghanistan. This species is similar to members of the Section Sphondylia but has enough characters distint that some authorities place it in its own Section, Troglydyta. Efarinose with thin textured leaves, and yellow flowers in a single whorl. See related P. edelbergii. If you have an image of this species, please contact the webmaster.
